Artist's Description
The Hiawassee Loop is part of the original L&N Railroad main line that ran from Knoxville, TN to Atlanta, GA. The "loop" is a means of changing elevation by running around a mountain several times gaining elevation each loop. The trestle in the photo is where the track crosses over itself representing the bottom and the top of the loop.
About John Black
Hi, my name is John Black. I grew up in west central Florida. I've been toying with amateur photography for about 15 years, but never got very serious about it until a couple of years ago when I purchased my first Nikon professional digital camera. I travel frequently in my real job, and I am never without my camera just in case I stumble on that once in a lifetime photo opportunity. My photography interests are vast, and include railroading, nature, coastal beaches, winter scenes, animals (wildlife), and much more. I hope you enjoy my photos, take your time viewing them and just maybe you will find something you can't do without.
