Description
This bridge, named Drew Bridge, crosses the historic Suwanee River just outside Branford, FL. It served the Suwanee & San Pedro Railroad from 1902 to 1905. In 1905 the railroad was renamed the Florida Railroad. The Florida Railroad ran until 1917 when it went bankrupt due in part to disputes with the Seaboard Air Line and Atlantic Coast Line railroads. The rails were removed beginning 1918 and the bridge was permanently closed in 1920 but still stands today. This shot was taken on December 30, 2015.
